Arise placed a team on the ground in Uganda full time from 2014 to 2024. Andrew and Terry Banman left careers to do grass roots work in poor communities. They worked with a number of Ugandan organizations to help them develop their operations and funding. The Banman’s also invested in community youth while living as a neighbour to an urban slum area.

Trinity Heavenz (Emmanuel) connected with Andrew as they both shared a love for media technology (design, photo & video). Trinity had no father figure in his life and invited Andrew to mentor him. Andrew was only too pleased to take on this role as he saw potential and teachability in Trinity. And so began a friendship that would lead to the birth of a thriving social business called era92. This business would eventually impact the lives of 1000’s of youth who had very limited access to the school system.
