New Life School India
Surrounded by verdant fields of grow cotton plants, tobacco leaves, eucalyptus trees and mango trees, New Life School provides education in English to children in the surrounding villages whereas the children’s home provides a loving and supportive environment to kids who are orphaned, abused, marginalized, and/or underprivileged. Our aim to bring about restoration of childhood, hope and healing to kids while addressing the issue of unequal opportunities in education, living standards, and nutrition. Our vision is to see children develop academically, emotionally, physically, and spiritually in a child-centered Christian environment.
Our Beginnings
The long-time vision of a school and children’s home started to become reality with the purchase
of 5 acres of land in 2003. In 2011 construction began after God provided funds through donors
worldwide. New Life school started educating and housing children in July 2012, with 60 kids
attending the primary school and 19 kids staying at the home.
What’s Happening
- Pre-school to Gr.7 classes with 70 children
- Professional development for teachers
- Children’s home with 43 kids from gr. 1 to college
- Construction of school walls & washrooms in school building
Our Goals
- A shift in education from traditional rote learning to holistic, child-centered education that encourages creativity & critical thinking
- Nurturing a generation of passionate godly leaders who can impact their global community
- Teaching Biblical values & a Biblical worldview
- Building a Christ-centered environment with unconditional love & acceptance Providing healthy meals & educating children on hygiene & how to have a healthy lifestyle
