Education / Discipleship
At Arise, we understand that education and discipleship are one & the same. You can’t disciple character without teaching facts and you can’t teach facts without creating the framework for character. Children are always learning and imitating, so we can never say “now I’m teaching” or “now I’m not”. Jesus himself trained his disciples constantly throughout the day in both formal and informal teaching environments. Knowing this, Arise would like every child to have the opportunity to be truly discipled. Children should grow in confidence to know the truth of who they are and what they’ve been created for.
Our calling is to encourage discipleship training methods that encompass the entire life of each child the way God describes in Deuteronomy 6:7. This means learning at home, in school, with friends, and at church. This will create confident youth who boldy walk into a future they feel equipped for.
How can Arise help?
- In collaboration with partners Arise can provide resources to help families, educators, and churches integrate a Biblical worldview into every aspect a child’s life & learning. Arise can provide families, educators and churches with helpful books, podcasts, articles and curriculum.
- Arise can help you perform a Worldview Audit to better understand what your family, youth group, students, or staff currently believe. A Worldview Audit helps leaders fill in gaps and create a solid foundation.
- Arise organizes workshops and conferences with speakers and practitioners who can equip your team to provide a Biblical Worldview. Attend an Arise event or let Arise help you put an event together.
- In collaboration with other Kingdom-minded organizations and individuals, Arise is currently working with various teams to bring Imaginal Education and transformation centres to Canada and the world. (For more information, click here?)
